“Friends are meant to be imposed upon”
~ Sheer
Yours truly is wondering whether moi is able to cope with 3 office events I am running next week and still be the overall wedding coordinator for a wedding that (a) I haven't been involved in at all in the planning, so have no idea on the logistics and what is happening, (b) have not even seen the venue at all, (c) have a workshop that I am running on the same day, so can only be at the wedding location later since I can only be on half day and (d) have a council meeting that I am running immediately on the Monday after the wedding day...and its not even my wedding. *dryly*
Such faith the bride has. *Witchy actually imagine that she can sack her wedding planner and *impose on moi to be her overall coordinator on a 1 week notice. *arched brow. More importantly, moi's friends have offered to be moi's hands and stay by ready for job delegation. No one considered that yours truly might not be able to cope?
The reality is, well, probably yours truly can do it….I might have to push my limits a bit to do it, but probably still can.
But the problem is, (a) it is the dream wedding of a member of my exclusive clique, do I want to risk it not running well, (b) it is really short notice! And (c) I want to have fun and relax at the pool wedding and not be working…when one is the organizer for an event, one almost always never have fun. *laconic*
Oh well. No point thinking about it since moi has just received the wedding sequence of events, and guess what, in the contact list, yours truly is already listed (with my contact no to boot!) as the wedding coordinator. Talk about acting fast...maybe *witchy has a different understanding of "let-me-think-about-it"? Or has yours truly just been too *nice lately? *arched brows

you know what, 'half suspect this is her way of punishing us for not being more enthusiastic about the whole wedding committee in the first place...in the end, still falls to us, just much much more last minute. bride-to-be if you are reading this, remember: you owe us ah!
