Eskimo Love Song
You are my husband, you are my wife
My feet shall run because of you
My feet dance because of you
My heart shall beat because of you
My eyes see because of you
My mind thinks because of you
And I shall love, because of you.

Today marks the day my closest friend from Secondary School’s ROM day. Amazing. One of my clique is MARRIED. Of cos, *nice has been an old married couple for ages, but this time, it is FOR REAL. She's married. OMG.
The day started with *nice coming over to yours truly's abode to let yours truly figure out how to do ribbons for her shoes. Did I mentioned that *peaceful and *nice just volunteered moi to tie ribbons for *nice’s ROM shoes without consulting moi? And moi has never even seen the shoes until today? Such faith in yours truly. *deadpan*
In any case, yours truly managed the ribbons. Of course, I did. She is my closest sec sch fren after all.
Typically for a wedding, the bride has tons to do. We were at the studio at half past 2 in the afternoon for *nice's fitting, make up and hairdo, 3.5hrs before the ROM. The groom just turned up less than an hour before the ROM to do his hair and change. *rueful look*
Yours truly wasn't impressed with the makeup, the eye make up could have been better than, but as *doormat says, how can *nice look bad? So obviously, she looks great. But could have been much better. Make up should brighten her face. It wasn't good enough....
Her gown was rather whimsical, but again, another could have better and more flattering. Probably I’m just being picky. Rest assured that when she picks out her gowns for official wedding dinner, *peace and moi will be there!
But all in all, it was a pleasant ceremony. *Nice and her K is a very nice and sincere couple. They are genuinely happy to be married. What does it matter about all other logistics? There was even moments of humor and laughter during the ceremony caused by the solemnizer’s strange and rehearsed English (don't get me wrong, she took her role very serious and was very genuine), but her English pronunciation was….for lack of better phrase, not fluent.
The kiss given by K to *Nice was too quick. I protested with “so quick”. And the solemnizer then said "very good, *Mr Ong. Now do a longer one for the camera this time." *laugh*
Wow. My friend is married!
In any case, yours truly (though I hate mushy sentiments) wishes them all the best. If anyone deserves happiness, *Nice certainly does. There isn't a nicer person anywhere or a more genuine friend. And for your evilness to say so, it must be true. *archly*
CONGRATS!
PS: *snappish is down with gastritric flu and *Ms Evil is down with serious flu. Both had to skip the ROM today. There must be a conspiracy somewhere.
